AEBN is launching a sophisticated new media player for all theaters, one that is a significant enhancement in VOD customer experience.

The new Silverlight player has been tested for months to ensure as few issues as possible during launch, and our team has already began rolling it out across several theaters. Currently, you can preview it on the AEBN.net theater. The new player will soon be available on all theaters once the roll-out is complete.

The new Silverlight media Player allows customers to watch movies, access saved favorites and new recommendations and more, without leaving the all-in-one player. The player allows members more efficient access to movies and scenes in which they are interested, with minimal steps needed to find, save, sort, and view media.

Microsoft’s Silverlight is a powerful development platform for creating rich media applications and business applications for the Web, desktop, and mobile devices. Silverlight is a free plug-in powered by the .NET framework that is compatible across multiple browsers, devices and operating systems, including Macs. Microsoft Silverlight must be installed on a customer’s computer in order to use the new media player.

We recently launched two new sales tools to help you promote RealTouch to its fullest potential. The Hosted Banner Sales Tool automatically rotates banners and is the ideal way to crank up your response rates and generate higher returns. The Page Peels Sales Tool creates a page peel in one of the corners of your webpage that will draw visitors’ eyes. The Page Peel’s mouse-over functionality allows for faster click-throughs and increased sales. There is a selection of ads to choose from for both gay and straight.

Both tools are now available in the Webmaster section, and can be used for both revshare and flat payout. If you haven’t already, check out the Hosted Banners or the Page Peels tool to get the most out of your traffic.

AEBN will have representatives down in Florida this weekend to demonstrate RealTouch at this year’s Miami EXXXOTICA Expo in the Miami Beach Convention Center. Miami EXXXOTICA, one of the nation’s largest adult consumer shows, features hundreds of top adult stars, wild live entertainment, sexy seminar series and over 150 adult companies. This year’s EXXXOTICA show will be May 14th to the 16th.

Earlier this week, all affiliates received an email from AEBN’s Jerry Anders, VP of Sales and Marketing, about the proposed .xxx sTLD that for which ICM Registry has applied. In this letter, he addressed the reasons that this is a serious issue of concern that could have a significant negative impact on your business.

ICM is run by Stuart Lawley, a person without any ties to, or knowledge of, the adult industry. In order to qualify for the.XXX sTLD, Mr Lawley has to have broad-based support from the sponsorship community which is the adult entertainment industry. We do not believe he has that support, yet he is telling ICANN that he does. ICANN is trying to determine how to proceed and has put the process up for public comment.

It is imperative that the adult community tell ICANN that we do not support ICM’s .XXX sTLD. AEBN had several reps at this month’s Phoenix Forum. All brands were represented, and AEBN attendees included Liz Wright and Brett Drysdale.

In its 11th year, the Phoenix Forum provided a unique networking opportunity for attendees, combining the intimacy and relaxation afforded by smaller, informal industry gatherings with unsurpassed educational and promotional opportunities geared specifically toward businesses operating in the adult industry. It took place to Tempe, Arizona from April 8th through 10th.

Meanwhile, representatives for RealTouch, including RealTouch Manager Scott Rinaldo, were in Los Angeles April 9th and 10th where they gave live demos of the product for attendees at this year’s AdultCon. Since 2001, AdultCon has been America’s erotic adult fan fair dedicated to meeting the most adult entertainers in person in one place.
