The daughter of Oscar-nominated, Tony- and Emmy-winning actor Laurence Fishburne has made headlines and topped adult movie retail charts with her first adult movie, “Montana Fishburne: An A-List Daughter Makes Her XXX Debut,” available on DVD or streaming at the Vivid website. Her porn debut was announced on July 30, the same day her dad turned 49 and scheduled for release on August 18. Due to high demand, it came out on August 3 instead and Vivid sold out its supplies in three days. Montana’s decision to do porn became an instant source of gossip and controversy, but you can honestly say it got people’s attention. AVN even described Montana as “a natural born fuck queen.”

xPeeps landed a phone interview with the new XXX-lister on her 19^th birthday, September 7. She was perky and friendly, answering every question with relaxed confidence. Her chipper personality, Montana has said, is the reason for the “Chippy D” nickname she’s also used.

Depending on where you look, you can see people praising or puzzling over Montana’s big debut. Everyone wants to know why: why did she get into porn, why didn’t she get into mainstream acting using her dad’s help? Well, as Montana has said numerous times, even though her dad could have helped her get a mainstream part, he couldn’t have helped her get into porn like she’s dreamed of doing. As hard as it is for a lot of people to understand, this is what she wants to do because it’s fun. “I feel a hundred percent comfortable,” Montana says. “I feel like it’s a safe environment. I feel like my fantasy is gonna come true and I feel like it’s gonna be to the highest, it’s gonna be like I dreamed it. I feel like I’m fulfilling my sexual dreams… it’s just so fun in that way because whatever you want to happen can really happen. In the privacy of your own home, things may not always work out how you want and there are more problems sometimes. I think in porn it’s more fun, it’s controlled and you know, I get to do something for myself and it’s a fun job.”

By her own admission, even other adult performers have scratched their heads over Montana’s choice of job, but she’s found support for her controversial career move in the industry. “I’ve had a really good response,” she says. “A lot of them have been surprised too, and shocked that I would do it, that I had the courage to do it because of who my father is. They’re like, ‘Wow, you know, that’s good that you would decide to do it… that you wouldn’t let who he is stop you from doing what you really wanted.’ So they’ve been really supportive and so great and friendly. Everyone I’ve met so far is really nice.”
