Featured Star: Nina Hartley

Nina HartleyDoes Nina Hartley need any introduction? Performing since 1984, she’s been in hundreds of movies and is an accomplished director, often co-helming with her husband, Ernest Green. She has a world-class ass even at 51 and a seemingly endless sexual appetite, which explains why she remains one of the most popular female performers.

Born in Berkeley, California on March 11, 1959, Nina was a nursing student in 1982 when she took a weekend job stripping at San Francisco’s famous Mitchell Brothers O’Farrell Theater. Following her then-husband’s chance meeting with porn star/director Juliet Anderson, Nina was cast in Juliet’s 1984 classic “Educating Nina.” While in school, she did movies part time. Nina graduated with honors from San Francisco State University and decided to do porn full time.

For 20 years, Nina and her first husband were “married” to another woman. Her first marriage ended because, Nina admits, the wrong three people were involved. Now happily married to Ernest Greene for seven years, the two of them are open, honest swingers. Nina often attends the annual Lifestyles Convention for swingers and like-minded souls.

Since 1984, Nina has never stopped working. Shortly after her debut, she took on legend John Leslie (R.I.P.) in “Ball Busters” and more than held her own. In 1986, Nina wore a black wig and double-teamed a dude with fellow ’80s smut icon Seka in a porno called “Beyond Desire,” which was packed with women who almost all became legends. Her other early favorites include “Suzie Superstar: The Search Continues.”

With a pair of performances in 1991, Nina served notice that she wasn’t just one of the girls. As the title character of “Debbie Does Wall Street” she gave her all in two threesomes and an orgy. In “Hate to See You Go,” Nina played a wife who outwits her scheming husband. In 1997, a 38-year-old Nina confronted the issue of aging in the adult industry with “All About Eva,” in which she played a veteran performer who finds her young protégé threatening to take her place. That year, P.T. Anderson sought her out for a part in his mainstream film “Boogie Nights,” as the unfaithful wife of William H. Macy’s character. Nina was Penny, a woman who has a fling with a stranger before returning to her loveless marriage, in the couples-friendly 1999 porno “Bad Penny.”

Nina had transcended “vanilla” sex for years, but in the ’90s, she began showing fans how to enjoy exotic sex in her Nina Hartley’s Guide series and books, including Nina Hartley’s Guide to Total Sex. Nina’s exploration of kink grew by leaps and bounds in the new millennium, producing such hot fetish titles as Nina Hartley’s Private Sessions and, in 2006, the instant classic “O: The Power of Submission.” The latter title was an adaptation of the BDSM literary classic “The Story of O,” starring sexy Carmen Luvana as O and Nina in a supporting role as a Mistress who helps O explore kink. It yielded a popular sequel, “The Surrender of O,” with Nina reprising her role and delectable Bree Olson taking over the role of O.

These days, Nina also gets off on pleasuring younger women in the Older Women & Younger Women series. That doesn’t mean Nina is taking a back seat! She still fucks with the best of them in movies like hit new release “Malibu Massage Parlor, which she has described as “fun, silly, ’80s-style smut.” Nina gives a special “massage” to a younger stud in this one. “My Daughter’s Boyfriend” was one of the top renting movies of 2009 and featured Nina as the main character’s free-spirited cougar friend. In “A MILF’s Tale,” Nina explores interracial sex fantasies with several younger men. Nina is one of the wildest cougars and even though she isn’t a mother, she’s quite a MILF on a porn set.

One of the most award-winning performers ever, Nina is one of five women up for VOD Awards Performer of the Year. It’s clear you guys agree with us that Nina Hartley is as hot as ever.
