For most women, wedding days are a culmination of all the hopes, dreams, expectations, societal norms, fairy tales and Lifetime original movies that have been carefully cultivated in the mind since childhood. So, when the place settings turn out wrong, or the minister doesn’t show up on time, or the best man confesses, during a drunken ramble, that he slept with the maid of honor, it can be disappointing. But when your hubby-to-be gets cold feet and jilts you just before the ceremony, the devastation is total. This is the situation in which Angela (Alektra Blue) finds herself in The Honeymoon.
So, when the wedding gets called off, is the groom’s family partly responsible for the wedding bills? Do the gifts have to be returned? Better yet, with whom does the former bride do the consummating? The answers are: I don’t know. I don’t know. Anyone she damn well pleases.
What a great friend Angela has in Kaylani Lei, who convinces her that she should go on her non-refundable vacation anyway. The one snag is that it’s a couples retreat, but when has that ever stopped anyone in a porn flick? (see Cheater’s Retreat by Sweet Sinner Media). From the over-sexed and anal loving Martins to the delusional horny rock star to the sultry lesbians, there are some truly unforgettable and oversexed vacationers in this one. One person in particular, a handsome staff member, snaps Angela out of her sadness. But, is he just a rebound or does he actually have a shot with her?
The Honeymoon was directed by Stormy Daniels, a porn veteran in her own right and star of such flicks as Operation: Desert Stormy and Forbidden. She brings her experience in front of the camera to her work behind the lens, ramping up the intensity even further. Of course, with hotties like Alektra, Zoe Britton, Monique Alexander, and Kaylani Lei taking center stage, ramps probably weren’t necessary.
