We’ve all seen European, Latin, and Asian performers as well as American babes in the ranks of porn newbies, starlets, and bona fide stars. By comparison, to those of us outside the culture, Indian girls (also known as desis) seem like exotic, forbidden treasures just waiting to be explored. Indian culture, while certainly not asexual (Kama Sutra, anyone?), most definitely frowns upon porn as a career choice. Not coincidentally, most if not all desis in the adult industry were raised (often born) somewhere other than India.
In the mid-90s there was a beautiful English-born star of East Indian heritage, Nadia Nyce (not to be confused with more recent performer Naudia Nice), who became an icon in Indian porn niche if not the larger adult industry. It wasn’t just because she was known to be the first of her kind. Anyone who has seen this sultry, shapely desi in action knows that she would have been unforgSettable even if there had been a thousand East Indian girls in porn before her. Known for great oral talents and a tendency to take it on the face, Nadia was something of a muse for Everyman director Rodney Moore, having worked with him more than any other director. Canadian-born stunner Sunny Leone became the first Vivid Girl of Indian heritage in 2005 after several years of glamour modeling. For the longest time, Sunny was pretty much the only big star who could claim such ancestry.
Then a New Delhi-born, American-raised goddess named Priya Rai showed up and Sunny had some competition in the “hottest Indian porn star” contest. Priya had built a devoted following as a softcore model and stripper long before she ever made the transition to hardcore porn. She has done close to 60 movies in about three years and, like Sunny, is known for doing movies outside the Indian porn niche. Whether she’s the fantasy fuck next door in “Busty Housewives” or a domineering office worker correcting the bookkeeping mistakes of a subordinate in a most unorthodox fashion in “Femdom Ass Worship 3,” Priya is winning over new fans all the time. Her look is different from most porn stars and there’s a definite sense that she is almost too hot to be doing this, but with her appearance in the recent hit “Octopussy: A XXX Parody 3D,” it’s safe to say few would actually deny Priya Rai the right to be her sensual, seductive self in any damned porno she wants.
Other hot desis in porn include Destiny Deville, Sahara Knite, Leah Jaye, and Jazmin. You’re probably thinking, what about all those girls that are in the Curry Cream Pie and Girls of the Taj Mahal series? Most of them will do one movie and never appear again, or they might be ethnically vague performers who can get away with moonlighting as Indian babes. The hotties of “Kick Ass Chicks 43: Indian Girls” are all the real deal though, and they’re all natural.
