Angie Savage Stars in Mainstream Horror Film, “Cut”

Award winner Angie Savage recently returned from wrapping up production on her biggest mainstream role to date. She has been flying in between Los Angeles, New York and West Virginia to star in Joe Hollow’s, CUT for the past several months.

A horror movie, CUT follows three friends stranded overnight in the mountains. They stumble upon a twisted family while two cops fight to solve local murders within a corrupt small town setting the stage as terrifying secrets unfold. Its a fight for survival as they spiral through a bloodbath of twists, turns and unexpected horrors on a collision course to the truth.

Angie plays Carmen,” the sexy but murderous girlfriend of “Jonathan.” Originally cast as an extra in the movie, she was quickly recast as one of the female leads after she met Joe Hollow.

He realized the characters Jonathan and Carmen had chemistry the script was searching for, Hollow felt it would take the film to another level.

Carmen brought more to the table than Joe Hollow expected and they immediately discussed potentials for the rest of the film and the sequel. Carmen was the last actor to be cast in the film as it was an important role and Joe Hollow had struggled finding the right actor until he found Angie Savage.

Hollow said “It was her voice, presence and talent as an actor that sparked a new plot into an already written script”. Carmen was a character Hollow needed to be perfect as he considers his actors and what they do “brush strokes in a beautiful painting”. With Angie’s stunning beauty, powerful presence and outstanding love and passion on the set, she had everything Hollow was looking for.

Scheduled for theatrical release in Summer 2011, CUT is Angie’s most ambitious movie to date.

She has starred in various roles for companies such as Wicked Pictures, Vivid Entertainment and Digital Playground, winning an AVN Award for “Best Girl-Girl Scene” for her work in Digital Playground’s The Babysitters.

CUT is a cut apart for her though. This movie was more physically demanding than any adult production. It required hours of preparation and script memorization according to Angie.
